How I Can Help
Why not just plead "guilty" to my ticket?
When you receive a speeding or traffic ticket, you should never plead "guilty" to your charge. A plea of "guilty" is equivalent to a conviction after trial for whatever you have been charged with. I can help you reduce (or dismiss) nearly any traffic infraction to a lesser offense - with fewer points and much lower fines.
Pleading "guilty" to a moving infraction adds points to your driving record, increasing your insurance premiums and could potentially lead to a license suspension. Moreover, the New York State DMV has a Driver Responsibility Program which requires drivers who are convicted of specific traffic violations to pay a $300+ assessment to the DMV in addition to their fines issued by the court and the mandatory state surcharge.
Why not just represent myself in court?
I can very likely negotiate a more favorable plea reduction and prevent you from having to appear in court. If your appearance is necessary, I will make the process much more efficient and less confusing.

The Upstate New York traffic court system can be difficult to navigate. The cultures and procedures in these courts can vary because of their size and how judges and prosecutors tend to handle cases.

New York State law requires someone who is pleading their own vehicle and traffic case to appear twice in court; once for a "conference" and again for a trial.
Out-of-State Drivers
Don't ignore your New York traffic tickets! I have represented clients from all over the United States (and from outside the country).

New York speeding tickets will very likely follow you home. Points may transfer to your home state driving record, impact your license and increase your auto insurance rate.

The State of New York will also create a driving record for you based on any traffic convictions here. If you accrue 11 points on your New York record within an eighteen month period, your driving privileges in New York will be suspended.

About My Practice
Although other lawyers may devote part of their practice to this area of the law, Vehicle and Traffic Defense is the sole focus of my practice. I have been representing clients from all over the country with traffic tickets throughout Upstate New York since 2005. When you contact my office to discuss your case, I will speak to you directly - never a paralegal or secretary.
